Ensure openness, transparency and honest communication within our district
Make sure each dollar is spent wisely and as effectively as possible
Maintain and improve our infrastructure systems – roads, water, sewerage etc
Work together with other councils and stakeholder bodies across Northland and nationally where needed
Encourage and support responsible economic development, including tourism
Obtain better reliable telecommunications and broadband across our district
Help to create and support strong cohesive communities
Manage and care for our natural resources in a balanced way
